"Gazprom" will receive the gas transportation system of Kyrgyzstan for $ 1

The authorities of the Russian Federation approved the draft intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of transportation, distribution and sale of natural gas on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. "Gazprom" will acquire 100 per cent stake in the authorized capital of the company "KyrgyzGas." The new company and its successors will carry gas supplies to Kyrgyzstan, underground gas storage, as well as construction, renovation and operation of the gas transmission and distribution systems, underground gas storage and other gas infrastructure.

 

Set tariffs for gas transportation through the territory of Kyrgyzstan, to a third country and its storage in underground storage will itself "Gazprom". Kyrgyz party guarantees the company the exclusive right to import natural gas to Kyrgyzstan, investment protection of the Russian monopoly and its subsidiaries against expropriation and nationalization. The company must also provide a free transfer abroad of payments related to the investment.

 

The agreement stipulated and responsibilities of the Russian side: investing in modernization and reconstruction of gas infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan in the amount of not less than 20 billion rubles. for five years.
