Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay an official visit to the Republic of Austria on 22-23 October 2012 at the invitation of his counterpart Dr. Heinz Fischer, Federal President of Austria, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
N. Nazarbayev, H. Fischer and Barbara Prammer, President of the National Council of Austria, are expected to carry on negotiations (in extended and restricted attendance) during the visit. The program of the top-level visit also includes talks between the governmental delegations and a large business forum.
The sides are to discuss the state and prospects of the Kazakhstani-Austrian cooperation in political, commercial and economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres as well as to exchange views on a wide range of issues of the international agenda. Kazakhstan and Austria have reached a high level of mutual understanding in key problems of the international security. The two countries fruitfully cooperation within almost all international organizations located in Vienna.
The first official visit of the Federal President of Austria to Kazakhstan dates back to 3 December 2010 after the OSCE Summit in Astana.
Kazakhstan and Austria pride on being successful partners in economy sector. Austria is featured into the top 10 trade partners of Kazakhstan (7th spot). Kazakhstan is the third largest trade partner of Austria among the CIS member countries.
Within the visit, October 23, the Kazakhstani-Austrian Business Forum will be held. At the forum businessmen from Kazakhstan and Austria will debate the development of the bilateral commercial and economic investment cooperation. In particular, there will be reviewed the implementation of previously adopted document on the priorities and goals of economic cooperation for 2015 in industry, engineering, energy, infrastructure, tourism, healthcare, environmental protection and other fields.
More than 50 Kazakhstani companies, namely Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, KazMunaiGas, Kazakhtelecom, Kazakhstan Engineering and many more, have already confirmed their participation in the forum in late October. An array of bilateral document of economic character in the sphere of education, chemistry, construction, engineering, medicine, tourism and so on is to be signed at the event.
This October 23-24 for the first time since the establishment of diplomatic relations President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay an official visit to the Czech Republic.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to meet with Czech President Vaclav Klaus and Prime Minister Petr Necas.
The parties will discuss development milestones of the Czech-Kazakh ties, state and prospects for further cooperation, opportunities for strengthening mutual beneficial economic, scientific, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two states.
Besides, a business forum will take place in Prague on October 24, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.
