President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė had a meeting with the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga. The leader of Kosovo attended yesterday the high-level conference ‘Women Enhancing Democracy: Best Practices' initiated by the Lithuanian and Finnish heads of state.
At the bilateral meeting, the two Presidents discussed bilateral relations and Kosovo's prospects of European integration.
President Grybauskaitė underlined Lithuania supported Kosovo's European integration prospects and was ready to share its experience gained on the path to the European Union. However, the President of Lithuania said, success depended primarily on the country itself, on its efforts in implementing fundamental internal reforms and establishing good relations with neighboring countries.
